Closing A Chapter Opens A New

Thoughts after the closing service of our church this past weekend:

Like shadows I see children running around the empty room. I hear laughter in the silence. I smell the savory essence and sweet spices of meals shared through the years. The sharing of stories of family events and accomplishments shared in prayer and celebration as we gathered together.

Living life together has meant so much to us. The birthdays, anniversaries, births, and deaths. The worship and studies. The trips and sharing of life together. Nineteen years, a lifetime for many we’ve seen grow up. Thank you all for sharing your lives with us and for making us a part of your families, as we were a family together in Christ.

Thank you God, for the blessings of our time ministering here in Clifton. May God bless all, as this chapter closes for the church we look forward to God’s blessings in the new chapter ahead.
